Yacht Ownership WebsiteNew offices in Peru and Brazil bring agents closer for South American Customers

CLEARWATER, FL – Leopard Catamarans is excited to announce two new offices to offer local service to South American customers. Leopard Catamarans partner sales agents have opened their doors in Peru and Brazil.

Working with the South American market is not new for Leopard, explains Franck Bauguil, Vice President of Yacht Sales and Ownership at Leopard's parent company TUI Marine, a division of TUI Travel PLC, "Leopard Catamarans has been working with Central and South American customers very successfully for many years, but mainly with Spanish speaking staff in the Ft Lauderdale office working directly with customers."

Bauguil explains the company's new strategy for serving the South American market: "In South America, the main source markets had been traditionally Venezuela and Colombia, but in more recent years the activity has shifted to Peru and Brazil and other new markets. As a consequence, Leopard Catamarans has established relationships with local agents, in particular Peru and Brazil, who can not only work with the local customers for boats to be imported in their own country, but also deliver catamarans outside their respective territories. It's a distribution model that is more efficient and more flexible than the traditional manufacturer/dealer relationship used by other companies. Often South American customers want to deal with a US company, but also appreciate the service provided by the agent locally. Equally, they appreciate the service they can get from our office in Florida, but also from numerous Sunsail and The Moorings bases throughout the Caribbean. Our web sites and all marketing materials are available in Spanish and Portuguese, and we are delighted to work with Central and South American markets, with their own particularities and very rich cultures.

These new Latin American offices will help customers looking to purchase any model in Leopard line, including the Leopard 39, Leopard 44, Leopard 48 and Leopard 58, and the Leopard 39 PC and Leopard 51 PC. The Leopard 48 was recently featured, and very well received, in Brazil at the 2014 Rio Boat Show. "Two very important points were received at the show," explains Brazilian agent Guilherme Kodja, "monohull owners are really getting interested in cats, and the style, toughness, sailing advantages and Leopard brand are really well understood in the Brazilian market."
