Top 7 Multihull Boat Shows

[May 1, 2018]

You are ready to take the plunge. Or you aren’t. Whether you are on the ten year plan or the ten month plan, it does not matter. We all have to start our search somewhere. And for a large percentage of boat buyers, you start your online research and then eventually make plans to attend a boat show. But which boat show do you attend? There are so many to choose from it can seem a bit overwhelming at first. But not to fear. We have complied a list of the top boat shows to attend if you are in search of a multihull.

What makes attending boat shows so important for buyers is that you have the opportunity to see it all in one place. You can size up manufacturers and  you can climb on and off each size yacht to determine which size will be the best for you. Ironically, the boat shows that made our list take place around the world, so there is bound to be one in close enough proximity that you won’t have to travel too far to find your perfect catamaran.

Miami International Boat Show

Nothing beats the South Florida sun in February. We couldn’t think of a better way to enjoy a Saturday in Miami than to spend your days climbing on and off every size and every manufacturer of catamarans that exists. If you are in search of the perfect sailing catamaran, this show will provide you with the opportunity to explore all of your options! Once the sun has set it’s off to South Beach for a night on the town, then wake up Sunday and do it all over again!

For the first time in 2018 the Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail Miami combined forces at one location, on Virginia Key, Miami to create a powerhouse yacht show. After the success of the 2018 combined boat shows, NMMA decided to continue this trend and keep the two shows together. Catamaran Cove, the sailing section of the Miami International Boat Show, displays nearly every multihull builder that you could imagine and the show consistently has over 100,000 attendees. If you are considering the purchase of a sailing catamaran or a power catamaran, this show should be at the top of your list!
